I’ve NEVER done anything like this…but I’m glad I did
Hey,
I guess I should practice what I preach, even if it scares the hell out of me.
The meditation recording I made below did exactly that!
I kind of need your support here because I’m out of my comfort zone. Would you consider actually doing this meditation with me? Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone?
Please try. Let me know how it feels when you’re done.
I’m learning that almost EVERYTHING we really want lies just on the other side of our comfort zone.
A few weeks back I flew the San Francisco to meet Dr. Brenda Wade and join her for a retreat she was doing. She treated me like an old friend and included me as her partner for her all-day “Get Ready For Love” event for women and men.
I was blown away by her energy and authentic warmth. She made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. And her absolute trust in me was one of the biggest compliments I’ve ever received. We had a great time and enjoyed each other immensely.
If that wasn’t enough, she introduced me to Bruce Springer who has developed the Master Key Mediation Device. This is an extremely cool product for helping you relax, focus and meditate. Over dinner we talked about whether I would be interested in making a sample recording for men.
For some reason I said yes…as if I do this kind of stuff all the time. I don’t…but we’re supposed to PUSH our comfort zone – right?
And I couldn’t let you down and chicken out.
The next day, in her normal supportive, easy going style, Brenda Wade grabbed her iphone and said, “Let’s do this”.
“Do what?”, I asked. “Your meditation recording.”, she said in a tone that gave me no choice. She told me to take a few minutes and think of a story I want to share with men. Then she would hit “record” and we would just do it.
Ugh. Okay. So we did it. And Dr. Wade sat right next to me and watched me the whole time. What an incredible lady she is. It’s amazing what a strong, supportive woman can do for a guy.
What came out of this is as much a reflection of her trust, warmth and support in me as it is a reflection of my compassion and appreciation of YOU.

I was thinking of YOU when I did this. And we did it in ONE TAKE.
I doubt I would have survived a second take.
Bruce Springer later added the music.
Listen to it below. I would LOVE your feedback. What did you think? Would you you listen to other recordings like this on other topics?
Q: Why is it so uncomfortable for me to try something like meditation or emotional work?
A: Because meditation forces you to sit with the one thing you’ve been avoiding—your own truth. Most men stay in their heads to avoid feeling. Getting still feels foreign. But everything you want—confidence, clarity, deeper connection—lives just outside your comfort zone. That discomfort is a sign you’re on the right path.
Q: How can meditation actually help me become more confident or stronger as a man?
A: Meditation strips away noise and helps you hear your real voice instead of fear, impatience, or insecurity. When you slow down, you gain clarity, emotional awareness, and presence—the three traits most men desperately need but rarely practice. Strength starts by learning to sit with yourself instead of running from yourself.
Q: Why does it feel so vulnerable to try something new in front of others—like you did recording that meditation?
A: Because doing something new exposes the part of you that doubts whether you’re enough. But vulnerability is the gateway to growth. When you push your comfort zone, you build real confidence—not bravado. Courage is simply doing the thing that scares you while letting people see you do it.
Q: Can meditation really help me improve my marriage or emotional connection with my partner?
A: Absolutely. When you meditate, you develop the ability to pause, breathe, and respond from grounded masculine energy instead of fear, irritation, or defensiveness. Your partner feels the difference instantly. Emotional steadiness makes her feel safer—and makes you feel more in control of the man you want to be.
Q: Why does stepping outside my comfort zone feel so important right now?
A: Because staying comfortable is what got you stuck. Growth requires friction. Every meaningful change—a better marriage, better emotional control, better intimacy—requires doing something slightly scary. When you build the habit of leaning into discomfort, you become the man who creates the life he wants instead of waiting for it.
Q: How do I know if meditation or self-development work is actually “working” for me?
A: You’ll feel it in moments of tension. You pause instead of explode. You listen instead of defend. You speak with intention, not desperation. Meditation teaches you to be the calmest man in the room, and your partner responds to that. Progress shows up in your reactions long before your results.
